The evaporative cooling media (media) is custom slotted by Integrated Comfort to improve structural integrity as well as energy performance. The slot in the media was engineered to encompass the water distribution pipe to control the water flow and distribution.  This slot allows the water to penetrate in the center of the media leading higher water saturation and reduced overflow from the top panel. In addition to the performance improvement, the distribution water pipe secures the media in the center of the stainless steel frame, eliminating media from falling in and out of the frame. This slot ensure that the media is always in the right location to effectivley capture as much water as possible.
